For this week's article I'd like to clue everyone in on a very talented pal of mine, Bill Bronson, who I graduated art school with. His first publication from SQP Publishing, collecting his illustrations and original stories, will be shipping this March and I thought some of you might enjoy his work. You can check out a few of his pieces below, but give his official website at www.BillBronson.com a visit, and definitely pick up a copy of his book when it debuts.
Here's Bill...
Greetings to All;
First off, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday.
As many of you know, I have a body of work being published entitled "Chicks & Monsters." It should be out by March 2004. For a sneak peek and write up of my book, check out Creature Corner , an appendage of CHUD.
For the record, I penciled and inked the cover, but the Gang at SQP colored it and added the text. Over all, I'm really happy with what they did with it.
Artist/writer Bill Bronson takes a mockin' and rockin' look at horror and grrl-power, and comes up with a crunchy mix of tricks and treats he calls Chicks & Monsters. A multi-flavored package of cruel-to-be-cool comics and painfully delightful drawings, Bronson's work can be described as a kind of punk Charles Addams for the new millennium. Stories include The Postmortem Girls in "The Band Practice that Woke the Dead," The Mothball Jawbreaker Gang in "Clean Up on Aisle 666," and The South Side Saints do battle with rowdy hobgoblins who don't know when to leave! All this and pages of pin-ups, sketches, and other decidedly demented and morbidly fascinating artwork.
64 pages, black and white, $9.95.

Congrats, Bill! This is very awesome news. The cover to your book looks great. Can't wait to get a copy of this for myself.
